Biggs' Effort Not Enough At And1 Event

Tyrell Biggs had a big game but his team was eliminated from the And1 tournament

Tyrell Biggs, a 6-foot-7, 250-pound power forward from Don Bosco High School in New Jersey, scored 35 points in a loss to Grady High School at the And1 tournament held at Seton Hall University. Biggs scored 20 of the 35 points in the first half of the second round game. Don Bosco will play a consolation game this morning.

Biggs, a highly sought after player in the class of 2005, said his list is still short. "I am interested in Duke, Maryland, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Virginia, and Villanova," Biggs said. "I don't plan on taking any more trips until after July."

Biggs said he is still open. "I don't have any leaders," he stated. "I want to see how my summer goes and then try to figure out where I will take my visits."

Tyrell said he plans on going out to Colorado Springs next weekend. Then will will be at the Reebok camp in the early portion of July. "A lot of my decision is going to be based on my comfort level with a coach," Biggs said. "I hope I can make a decision in the Fall and sign in the Fall."

Biggs competes in the summer AAU sessions with the Metro Hawks of New York City.
