Tough Decision Ahead For Andrew Bynum

Andrew Bynum has several visits scheduled

Andrew Bynum, the 7-footer from St. Joe's in New Jersey, is going to have one tough decision when deciding among his list of schools. His brother, Corey, understands this too. "They are all great programs," Corey said about the big name schools. "Each of them have great coaches and great teams. That's why you take the trips."

Bynum's first visit will be to Georgia, the weekend of October 1st. "Coach Felton has got it going there," Corey said.

Then Bynum and his family will take a trip to Georgia Tech on October 3rd. "Coach Hewitt has done a great job there," Corey said. "He got to the final without a player like Chris Bosh. They have a very unselfish team too. Jarrett Jack is a very unselfish player."

After Andrew and his family take a trip through Georgia, they expect to be on the campus of North Carolina for Midnight Madness. "They have a great coach and a great tradition," Corey said. "It should be a fun trip."

Coach Roy Williams was in Philadelphia today. Many of the coaches were expecting to watch Bynum workout today at Triton High School in South Jersey. However, Andrew decided to privately work out with his high school team instead, preventing college coaches in watching the big man today.

Connecticut has also landed an official visit from Bynum, who also lists Rutgers and Georgetown among his favorites. Bynum has already unofficially visited those three schools. But he will take a visit to Storrs the weekend of October 22nd. "They have won a couple of national championships recently," Corey said.

Bynum hopes to make a decision in the Fall and sign a letter of intent in mid-November. But between that date and today, an awful lot will happen and plenty of information is going to be digested by the family. "It's why it's so tough for Andrew," Corey said. "They each have something special about their school."
