Ayers, who has already given Notre Dame a verbal commitment to play college basketball for the 2005-2006 season, continues to showcase a sweet stroke from the perimeter. Ayer's four three-pointers sparked the Playaz to a 70-57 victory over the New York City Gauchos in a semifinal game.
The Playaz will now face Philly USA in the final Sunday at IS8 in New York City.
Ayers finished the game with 17 points. Derrick Mercer had 11 points for the Playaz and Marquis Johnson added 10 points for the winners.
The Gauchos were led by Antonio Pena, who had 22 points. Edgar Sosa had only eight points as his shot from the outside would not fall. Curtis Kelly also had an off day, scoring just seven points.
