Cardinals Forte:

Tyrae Forte, of Plainfield, puts the "student" in student athlete. Not only is he one of the top receivers in the state, but he is also the top student in his class.

The Cardinal standout has been putting in the work on and off the playing field. When he's not shaking and baking on the field, he is cooking in the classroom. Tyrae Forte maintains a 3.9 GPA and is ranked number one in his class. And if that wasn't impressive enough, his shiftiness and speed has made him a force to be reckoned with on the football field.

The 5'9", 180 lb junior is not only making a name for himself here in New Jersey, but he creates problems for defenders wherever he goes and laces up his cleats. At the national 7 on 7 in Ohio this spring, Forte scored 9 touchdowns to lead all scorers. Last week in Baltimore, he had a great combine breaking down DB's in the one on one drills. "He is so elusive when getting off the jam at the line of scrimmage that he pretty much owns you after that," stated a coach in attendance. Tyrae plans to make some noise at the Rutgers and Cornell camps this summer.

As you can imagine the phone is beginning to ring off the hook for this exceptional student athlete. When asked how recruiting was going he modestly replied, "Recruiting is going pretty good. I have been speaking to Cornell, Yale, New Hampshire, Delaware, and Rutgers."
