MIller: Set to Make Statement

Jamari Miller of South Plainfield High School looks to make a statement this year on defense. The 6'4 275lb defensive tackle has been preparing himself in the off season to become one of the top five defensive lineman in the state.

Jamari Miller of South Plainfield High School is one of New Jersey's top defensive prospects. After a disappointing lost in the state finals, Miller made a promise that he would prepare himself to be a dominate force on the defensive side of the ball this year. "Our goal is to get back to the state finals again this year and win it. We return 19 starters from last years team and some younger players that have some varsity experience". We asked Miller what he did in the off season to prepare himself for this season and he replied, "I have been working very hard on my hand placement with a lot of one on one's and my speed and strength with a personal trainer". Miller has also attended numerous camps this summer such as; Syracuse, Temple, and NC State. He also has received some interest from Ohio State, Akron, and N.Carolina. "I will be visiting the University of Akron within the next two weeks before we go away to camp and take the rest of my visits at the end of the season
