Scout's Take: Kullen Wooton

Video breakdown of massive Goddard offensive lineman

Scout's Take: Kullen Wooton – Goddard HS

Wooton plays for powerhouse Goddard HS, a school that year in and year out not only produces a top team but also several of the top players. Coming from such a respected school, you know that he is well coached.

Wooton is listed at 6-4 265 and on film he looks every bit of that. In high school he starts at tackle, but I believe his best college option would be to move inside and play guard. He has a frame to be in the 300 pounds range in the future.

Video Breakdown:

Wooton has very good size and the abilities to run, which will help him move inside and play guard at the college level…he uses his hands really well and has a very good first punch out of his stance…looking at his film you can tell that he has been in the weight room and plays with good strength…he finishes his blocks all the way down to the floor…has good athleticism for a kid his size…a few knocks on Wooten, he isn't sudden on film, meaning he doesn't explode out of his stance, instead he gets his hands on players and just uses pure strength to maul defenders…he needs to work on his pass pro, especially his kick set…you can tell he has always been bigger and stronger than everyone else, but in college he will need to work on his pass pro.

I really like Kullen Wooton and feel that he will have an opportunity to play college football. The bottom line is kids that have his size, strength and athleticism combo are usually given a shot at the next level.
