Aaron Springer gets his 1st offer

In the world of recruiting nothing feels better than getting that 1st offer. Well, one of the top athletes in New Mexico next season got that feeling this week. Aaron Springer of St. Pius High just got his 1st offer and is really starting to hear from a couple schools.

Springer has been hearing regularly from Air Force, Northwestern and Colorado.  Aaron was expecting a phone call from Air Force just a regular call when he got a surprise offer.  "Coach Morgan said they were going to offer me.  He said the offer will be official once they get my transcript and my ACT scores come in."  Even though Springer had been hearing from Air Force he was a little surprised.  "I was expecting a call and for the recruiting to start picking up, so I was surprised when I got an offer."

As many know Springer is a great athlete who can do many things on the football field.  So question is what position does Air Force see Springer playing in college?  "They are recruiting me as a slot receiver or a wing back in their style of offense right now."

This is the 1st offer that Springer has gotten so it naturally puts Air Force way up towards the top.  "They are really high on my list right now.  I would say my top three right now would be Air Force, Colorado and Northwestern."  When asked how much he is hearing from those other schools Springer said, "I'm hearing a lot from Northwestern and also from Colorado.  Northwestern called and said they were going to fly out for our 1st game to get a better look."

Look for the recruiting of this athlete to really start heating up.  Congratulations go out to Aaron for all of his hard work.
