Mike: To win state with a perfect record.
NMI: How are you preparing for the upcoming season? Will you attend any camps this summer?
Mike: I attended the ASU, UNM, and UTEP
camps. I also made a visit to
NMI: What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve? What area would you like to keep improving on?
Mike: I've really been working hard and my speed off the ball and staying low. I would like to keep improving on my speed and all around strength.
NMI: Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for?
Mike: Brett Kennedy, Richard Bolkin, Pedrum Kodie, and Justin Dugger.
NMI: Name one teammate you really respect and why?
Mike: I really respect Kennedy because we have been teammates and friends for a long time and I know when he lines up against me during practice he's going to make me better.
NMI: What are your goals regarding playing football in college?
Mike: I want to be the best that I can and make sure that there's no doubt in the coaches minds that I was a good choice for their team.
NMI: Who is currently recruiting you? Do you have any offers yet?
Mike: Some of the teams that are
recruiting me are UNM, UTEP, ASU, Army,
NMI: Would you consider staying in state to play in college?
Mike: Yes, I would because UNM has a good program and I would be close to home.
NMI: What would your top 5 college choices be?
Mike: 1. ASU, 2.
NMI: Who is the best player you ever played against? Why?
Mike: I think the person I have ever gone up against would be Sam Cammillie from Mayfield. Sam was a big, strong kid that was quick for his size and he was a year older than me so he had more experience.
NMI: Name one opponent who you really respect and why?
Mike: Steven Park from Eldorado High because on the field we get after each other but off we get along fine.
NMI: What other sports do you play?
Mike: I wrestle and throw the shot put and discus.
NMI: How do you think your coach would describe you as a player?
Mike: I think he would say that I'm a hard working individual that get his assignments done no matter what.
NMI: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Mike: If you work hard enough all your dreams will come true.
NMI: Tell us what can we expect from your team this season?
Mike: I think my team will have another good season and hopefully win state.
NMI: What position do you think you will play in college?
Mike: I think I would play guard or center.
