Next part in our series takes a look at two of the better RB's in the respective states. Both Chris Garcia and Jeff Hughes have abilities to make people miss and go the distance. Come check out both of these kids highlight tapes. Very impressive.
This is our second time in this
series comparing two different RB's.
Earlier in the week we watched highlight tapes of Ruben Martinez from Los
Alamos and Covaughn Deboskie from Hamilton AZ.
Both of those kids are really talented and have offers to speak of. Today we take a look at two other RB's,
both of these guys are dynamic in the open field but are still awaiting their
first offers. From New Mexico; we have Valley HS Chris Garcia and from
have Jeff Hughes from Centennial HS.
Garcia is a great playmaker with
above average speed and great abilities to make people miss in the open
field. Garcia was injured for part
of his junior season but was still able to earn all district honors for his
efforts. Chris checks in at 5'11
and tips the scales at 185 pounds, he is also a legit 4.6 guy. On the recruiting front Garcia is still
awaiting his 1st offer but he is hearing from Ivy league
Jeff Hughes from Centennial HS in
for one of the top programs in the state.
Centennial is the defending state 5AII champion and has been ranked as
one of the top teams in the country this season. Hughes was a standout for the Coyotes as
a junior rushing for 1400 yards and 26 touchdowns all while averaging over 8
yards a carry. Hughes checks in at
5'11 and 195 pounds while running in the 4.6 range himself. From a recruiting standpoint Hughes is
also awaiting his first offer but he is hearing from lots of schools.
So now you know the two kids,
here's there video to compare the two.
Both have great vision and enough speed to take it the distance.
