Sneak Peak

Cibola:  We really like Cibola this season.  Coach Judge Chavez has really installed a sense of pride in his kids and they really seem confident in what they can accomplish this season.  Mader gets lots of headlines but he isn't there only stud.  Chase Bennison really emerged last season as a good running back.  Brandon Simpson is a very good wide out and big Rio Mares anchors the boys up front.  Defensively LB's Indiana Jones returns to be a force in the middle and up front Cory Roybal is a real force from the end position.

Rio Rancho:  Rio Rancho is under the direction of 1st year head man Mike Worley.  Coach Worley takes the reigns of a very good team led by Mr. Athlete Marcus Williams.  The speedy playmaker is a big play waiting to happen.  Orion Murphy takes over the QB duties and is a fantastic athlete in his own right.  Defensively big A.C. Crespin is ready to show colleges what he can do this season, after a really busy summer.  Keep an eye on Zach Drapeau the talented junior to be will be one of the better LB's in the state the next two seasons.

West Mesa:  West Mesa is looking to rebound after a very hard 2006.  The 2006 season saw them go 2-8 overall.  One good thing is that they played really young last year.  With that being said all those players return.  In fact West Mesa returns 35 letterman from last season's team.  Two of those players are very good in QB Josh Barnette and WR Michael Montoya.  The two of them hooked up several times last season and should hook up several more times this year.

Gallup:  Gallup had a pretty good 2006 going 5-6 overall.  They are the exact opposite compared to West Mesa.  Gallup will be extremely young this year, so they might take a step back because of it.  They only return 16 letterman from last year's squad.
