Top RB 2008: James Hall

Yesterday we selected Zach Drapeau from Rio Rancho as our selection for the top LB heading into the 2008 season. Today we select James Hall from Las Cruces as our top RB for the 2008 season.

Yesterday we announced our selection of Zach Drapeau as our top LB for the 2008 season. Of course not everyone agrees with our selection, and we admitted it wasn't an easy selection with so many great LB's returning next year. But today might be a different story, when we announce our selection for the top RB in the state. Our pick is probably a surprise to no one; it's Las Cruces RB James Hall.

Hall burst onto the scene as a sophomore rushing for more than 1000 yards and having a tremendous game against Artesia that made him a household name. Going into the 2007 campaign, Hall was on many all state lists and he didn't disappoint. Hall rushed for more than 1400 yards and 14 touchdowns on a great Las Cruces squad that will be one of the top ranked teams heading into next season. Hall is very quick and makes people miss on nearly every carry. When watching his film (Video and Evaluation coming soon) I noticed his ability to hit the hole and also his ability to avoid the big hit. James has the ability to carry a ball club with his talents, and when you combine those talents with the likes of QB Dante Caro and his abilities you get a dynamic offense that will be hard to stop. As of right now James Hall has offers on the table from New Mexico and New Mexico State, he is also hearing from several other D1 schools and hopes to get a few more offers before he makes his decision. Not only is James the top RB right now but he is arguably the top overall prospect at this point.

Of course talk this up on the boards, other RB's that we considered.
