One on One with Shane Smith

Eldorado athlete Shane Smith is a very interesting prospect in New Mexico. The 6'5 250 lineman also runs the 110 hurdles for his track team!!! He has an early offer from 1AA Davidson but he is hearing from other schools at this time. We recently went one on one with him to get his thoughts on next season and also how recruiting is going at this point.

When talking about the top overall player in the state most of the time the conversation is usually centered on Rio Mares and James Hall.  The reason for that is because they have been very good on the field and they also have an offer to speak of at this point.  But, like we informed the state last week, there is a third player in New Mexico with an offer to speak of.  That player is Eldorado lineman Shane Smith.  Smith has an early offer from 1AA Davidson, but is hearing from other schools including several D1 schools like New Mexico.  There might not be a more underrated player in New Mexico than Smith.  Smith has great size (6'5 250) and great athletic ability as evidence by him running the 110 hurdles for his track team at Eldorado.  We had the chance to chat with Smith to get his thoughts on this upcoming season as well as the recruiting process.
