Two-Sport Athlete Ready For Big Year

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a free look at two-sport athlete Chandler Fraser-Pauls, who is expected to have a big season competing as a senior for The Pennington School in New Jersey ...

Chandler Fraser-Pauls, a two-sport student/athlete from the Pennington School in the state of New Jersey, is one of the key pieces to his team's future success both in soccer and basketball.

We previously reported the talented student/athlete accepted a scholarship from Lafayette to play soccer. Boston University had also offered a soccer scholarship.

His dad, Matt, the head coach of the highly regarded Team NJABC AAU program, did tell us previously that Chandler will walk on and play for the Lafayette college basketball team.

Chandler has the skill level to make solid contributions in both sports too. The senior's leadership skills have progressed as well, making him an attractive pickup for Lafayette.

Fraser-Pauls, who helped his team win another Mercer County Championship, sparked his team to a 23-2 record in basketball this past season.

Fraser-Pauls, who averaged 16 points a game and five assists per contest his season as a junior, is a member of the 2011 class.

Chandler worked very hard on his mid-range perimeter game and landed many honors over the past month from the top newspapers in the New Jersey area.

In addition, he sharpened his floor general skills over the past season.

Fraser-Pauls, who competes at the midfield and forward positions for the soccer team, is going to school in preparation to be a head coach someday.
