New Jersey Prospect Hopes For Big Season

Khalid Lewis-El, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound combo guard from Trenton Catholic Academy in Hamilton, New Jersey (previously McCorristin Catholic H.S.), has been working very hard to improve his individual game, according to one of his AAU coaches, Matt Pauls.

Khalid is a player who is preparing himself to play division one college basketball and be an impact player for his next school.

Previously, Khalid gave a verbal commitment to the Delaware basketball staff. He'll sign a letter of intent with Delaware in November.

Khalid a quality prospect, who should have a solid impact at Delaware in his four years.

Lewis had also picked up a scholarship offer from Drexel.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF KHALID'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Khalid has the ability to produce points from many points on the floor. He has the ability to take the ball to the rim and score consistently as well as drop down jumpers.

PREVIOUS SCHOOLS OF INTEREST: Richmond, Virginia Tech, St. Joe's, Temple, Fairfield, Rider, Siena, and Marist.

TEAM NJABC HEAD COACH MATT PAULS' THOUGHTS ON KHALID'S INDIVIDUAL BASKETBALL GAME: His perimeter game continues to improve. He has a great first step and can destroy the interior of a defense with his drives to the rim.

Khalid is working on his ballhandling and to continue his perimeter consistency.
