Kazembe Abif, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound power forward who competed at University High School in Newark, New Jersey last season, is excited about signing a letter of intent next month.

Abif is hoping to continue make improvements in his individual game, preparing him to be an impact player in division one college basketball.

Abif, who verbally committed to Drexel, will sign a letter of intent next month, according to Team NJABC head coach Matt Pauls.

"He has a tremendous motor," Pauls said. "He plays hard every possession."

A senior prospect, he competed for Pauls' highly regarded Team NJABC AAU program in some of the best tournaments and events over the past few months.

"He attacks the rim," stated Pauls. "He's very physical on the boards making him a tremendous rebounder."

Abif will play for The Lawrenceville School this season.
