Area Underclassman Forging Terrific Season

Kenneth Coughlin, a 5-10 1/2 linebacker/tight end from Tottenville High School in Staten Island, New York, recorded a couple of sacks, several tackles and had a couple of quarterback pressures to help his team land a 41-13 victory.

Currently, his team is 7-0.

The 220-pounder, a member of the 2012 class and a junior, previously took a visit to North Carolina State. In addition, Delaware, Western Kentucky, and Duquesne have expressed recruiting interest.

His family has talked about takking a campus trip to Delaware. In addition, we reported that Wagner, Memphis, and East Carolina at one time had shown some early interest.

DESCRIPTION OF COUGHLIN'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Kenneth's first game featured six tackles and two forced fumbles. The starting defense only played the first quarters in game number two.

Also, considered a multiple position player, Coughlin is also the long snapper for Tottenville. He was named to second team All City defense as a defensive tackle last season while also spending some minutes playing the defensive end and linebacker positions.

He currenty holds a 3.2 grade point average as well.
