D-1 Prospect Working Hard To Improve Game

Reporter Mike Sullivan takes a look at the individual game of East Coast guard prospect Khalid Lewis, who is going to play division one college basketball next year ...

Khalid Lewis-El, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound combo guard from Trenton Catholic Academy in Hamilton, New Jersey (previously McCorristin Catholic H.S.), is one of the more exciting players in the area.

Considered to be one of the more productive backcourt players on the East Coast, Khalid will likely put up some intriguing offensive numbers this season.

Ready to sign a letter of intent with Delaware next week, he'll be looking to improve the categories of lead guard skills and defense over the next year.

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED:

Khalid has the ability to produce points from many points on the floor. He has the ability to take the ball to the rim and score consistently as well as drop down jumpers.

He also had some interest from Drexel, Richmond, Virginia Tech, St. Joe's, Temple, Fairfield, Rider, Siena, and Marist.

TEAM NJABC HEAD COACH MATT PAULS' THOUGHTS ON KHALID'S INDIVIDUAL BASKETBALL GAME: His perimeter game continues to improve. He has a great first step and can destroy the interior of a defense with his drives to the rim.
