East Coast Senior Has Solid Scrimmage Today

Reporter Mike Sullivan takes a look at the individual game of talented East Coast senior prospect Jabril Trawick, who is going to play some big time college basketball next season in the Big East Conference ...

PLAYER PROFILE: Jabril Trawick

HEIGHT: 6-foot-4

WEIGHT: 181 pounds

POSITIONS: Small Forward/Shooting guard

CLASS: 2011, a senior prospect

HIGH SCHOOL: Abington Friends School in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania

HIGH SCHOOL HEAD COACH: Steve Chadwin

AAU TEAM: Team Phenom from the city of Philadelphia

AAU HEAD COACH: Paul Gripper

COLLEGE/UNIVERSITIES OF INTEREST: Jabril gave a verbal commitment to Big East program Georgetown a couple of months ago and has signed a letter of intent with the Hoyas. His AAU coach, Paul Gripper of Team Phenom (out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) believes Jabril will fit nicely into the system at Georgetown after signing his letter of intent.

"He runs the floor well, can turn a mistake by the other team into two points on the other end," said Coach Gripper.

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED:

Jabril also landed scholarship offers from several other programs including Florida State, LaSalle, Fairfield, Drexel, Robert Morris, Delaware, Richmond, and VCU.

TRAWICK'S TOP GAMES IN 2009-2010:

*Jabril scored 18 points, had four steals and produced three blocks in a battle against The Academy of New Church, a team that features highly ranked Rakeem Christmas and Savon Goodman.

TRAWICK'S TOP GAMES THIS PAST SUMMER AND ALSO THIS FALL:

Jabril scored 12 points and hauled down seven rebounds in a losing effort in the Mustafa Shakure Chosen League tournament held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Trawick's team, Jrue Holiday, was upended 54-48, in a hard-fought championship game by the Shakur squad.

Previously, Jabril produced 21 points and had three blocks in a victory at an event held in South Carolina. Jabril played for Team Phenom of Philadelphia, Penn. this summer.

Earlier in the summer, Jabril produced 27 points and grabbed five rebounds to help his team defeat Team Loaded, 97-90.

Today, Jabril ripped off 17 points in limited time to help his high school team win a very competitive scrimmage against Simon Gratz High School of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jabril continues to make progress in his overall individual game, prepping himself to play some big time college basketball in the Big East Conference starting next Fall.
