Two-Sport Athlete Has Some Division One Looks

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a detailed look at a two-sport athlete who has helped generate division one recruiting interest in the sports of basketball and football ...

Bruce Brittingham, a 6-foot, 190-pound fooitball and basketball athlete from The Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, Pennyslvania, said he hopes to have a compiled list of schools soon.

We reported previously that Bruce took a campus trip to a rising Big East football program. "My visit to Connecticut was great," said Brittingham. "I enjoyed getting to know more about the school and the football program."

Besides being cold, Bruce said the trip was a great experience. "I don't have any visits planned as of now," he said.

Brittingham was very excited about the Connecticut football program after his campus trip. "I had a really good time and I learned a lot."

He is still open in in his recruiting process.

RECRUITING LIST:

Connecticut, Villanova, Temple, Rutgers, and Akron.

WHAT HIS AAU BASKETBALL COACH MATT PAULS THINKS ABOUT BRUCE BRITTINGHAM'S ATHLETIC CAREER:

"Bruce is also an effective basketball player, landing some low division one looks. He works very hard. He is a tough competitor worker who improves each practice and game. He has the heart of a lion.

"Bruce competes much bigger than his size. He's on the glass a lot, battling for loose balls against the bigger bodies in the paint and scoring near the lip of the rim."
