Upstate Underclassman Contributes to Victory

Reporter Mike Sullivan has an opening night story on Niagara Falls High School and its young boy's basketball team. In this story, he discusses Jermaine Crumpton's individual game ...

Jermaine Crumpton, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound small forward/power forward from Niagara Falls High School in Niagara Falls, New York, made some solid contributions last night to help his team win an opening night contest with Jamestown.

Crumpton, only a sophomore, had seven points and six rebounds. However, statistics weren't the big part of Crumpton's strengths.

"He took two huge charges for us at key times of the game," said Niagara Falls head coach Sal Costantino.

WHAT HEAD COACH SAL COSTANTINO THINKS OF JERMAINE CRUMPTON'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

"Jermaine s a gymrat," said Costantino. "He does a great job on the glass and excels in transition."

"Jermaine got his first questionaire," Costantino said. "It was from Washington. Hopefully, this is just the first of many he'll receive."

We will keep you updated on his progress this season.
