Two-Sport Athlete Named To First Team

Anthony Gaffney, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound football/basketball prospect from The Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, was named to the First-Team, All-State prep football team by one of the Garden State's top newspapers, the Newark Star-Ledger.

Gaffney, who was being recruited by Boston College, Connecticut, and North Carolina, also plays basketball for The Pennington School.

A member of the 2011 class, Anthony averaged around 11 points a game as a basketball player this past season a junior. His season is underway in hoops now.

RECRUITING INTEREST: Gaffney previously mentioned interest in Maryland, Pittsburgh, and Rutgers. Anthony said he is still open in his recruiting process.

Gaffney has made it clear he'll play college football.
