New York Guard Prepares For D-1 Level

Danny Lawhorn, a 6-foot guard from New York City who competes at the Robinson School in New Jersey, told us he is working very hard to prepare himself to play division one college basketball next season.

"I'm going to UMES (University of Maryland-Eastern Shore)," he said. "I'm excited about playing there next season."

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED:

Danny told us previously he was going to play at Robinson Prep School in New Jersey for the 2010-2011 high school season.

DANNY LAWHORN'S SEASON AT THE ROBINSON SCHOOL:

Danny produced 18 points, contributed 12 assists and four steals to help the Robinson School defeat Rise Academy of Pennsylvania, 102-72.

He is averaging a double/double in points and assists as well as four steals per game so far this season.

EVALUATION OF DANNY LAWHORN'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

*Lawhorn is a tough guard, willing to take the ball to the rim against the bigger bodies. He competes hard on both ends of the court. He has the New York attitude, fearless when it comes to taking the rock to the basket.
