Two-Sport Athlete Has Some Division One Looks

Anthony Gaffney, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound football/basketball prospect from The Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, said his list has expanded in his football recruiting process.

"Football wise, I can't quite say there is a heavy favorite," he said." My list varies. I have Ivy League schools in Harvard and Princeton."

In addition, Patriot League programs like Lehigh, Lefayette, Holy Cross, and Georgetown are involved.

Gaffney added: "Delaware, Villanova, William and Mary, Connecticut, and Boston College have stayed in touch. All of these schools have expressed tons of interest but none have really stood out as a clear frontrunner." "As of now I'm pretty much wrapped up with the visits," Gaffney said. "Unless any school expresses major interest."

Gaffney is currently playing basketball now. "We're 4-2 so far this season."

Anthony averaged around 11 points a game as a basketball player last season a junior.

RECRUITING INTEREST: Gaffney has made it clear he'll play college football.
