Also a soccer star, Chandler knocked down four three-pointers in one of his best games of his career. In addition, Fraser-Pauls handed out nine assists, made six steals and grabbed five rebounds.
Pauls, a terrific student, recently was named to the First-Team All-State boy's soccer team by the Newark Star-Ledger, one of the top newspapers in the Garden State.
Fraser-Pauls has already signed a scholarship to play soccer for Lafayette. He could also walk on and play basketball since he has a very attractive skill level for this particular conference.
Boston University had also offered a soccer scholarship.
His dad, Matt, the head coach of the highly regarded and very competitive Team NJABC AAU boy's basketball program, has inspired Chandler to consider taking up coaching once his athletic career is over.
Chandler also has a high skill level in the classroom, opening up more options academically down the road.
CHANDLER'S BASKETBALL SEASON IN 2009-2010:
Fraser-Pauls, who helped his team win another Mercer County Championship, sparked his team to a 23-2 record in basketball this past season.
Fraser-Pauls, who averaged 16 points a game and five assists per contest his season as a junior, is a member of the 2011 class.
Chandler worked very hard on his mid-range perimeter game and landed many honors over the past month from the top newspapers in the New Jersey area.
In addition, he sharpened his floor general skills over the past season and during the summer AAU events.
AFTER PLAYING SOCCER AND BASKETBALL:
Fraser-Pauls, who competes at the midfield and forward positions for the soccer team, is going to school for a career in coaching.
