East Coast Prospect Has Monster Game

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a free update on East Coast underclassman prospect Eric Fanning, who had a monster game today for his high school boy's basketball team ...

Eric Fanning, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound hard-working power forward/small forward prospect from The Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, ripped off 53 points to help his team defeat Mercy Academy in a boy's basketball game today.

According to his AAU coach Matt Pauls, Fanning also pulled down 16 rebounds in an incredible individual game.

Fanning is already the leading scorer in the area as his team is now 6-2 so far this season.

RECRUITING INTEREST:

He has some solid division one interest in his skill level too. "As far as my school list, everyone is equal," he said. "My list now is Boston University, Georgia Southern, Quinnipiac, Stony Brook, Army, Citadel, Tulane, St.Francis (PA), Colgate, and Drexel."

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED:

Eric did take a visit to Drexel. His thoughts: "This visit was very nice. I got to watch a practice. The practice was very structured and intense. Coach Bruiser (Flint) is a great coach and he has great assistants. I went up there with coach Matt (Pauls, Team NJABC AAU head coach).

Fanning, who played for highly regarded boy's basketball AAU program, Team NJABC of Trenton, New Jersey, is a member of the 2012 class.

"He practices hard all the time, always looking to make improvements in his game."

PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF ERIC FANNING'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Eric is a solid student too, opening up some academic options if he wishes to explore them over the next two seasons.

Eric competes very hard on both ends of the court, working hard on every possession.
