Marcus Hopper, the 6-foot-9, 238-pounder from Holy Cross High School in Flushing, New York, is having a solid senior season so far for Paul Gilvary's boy's basketball program. Hopper, who continues to make steady improvement in his low post moves and rebounding, is averaging 14 points and 11 rebounds so far this season.

MARCUS HOPPER'S RECRUITING INTEREST:

New Hampshire, Robert Morris, Holy Cross College and Tulsa were the latest schools to show interest in Hopper's skill level. Previously, Fairfield, Providence, UMBC, Marist, Winthrop and Siena had told Gilvary they were interested in monitoring Hopper's progress.

HOLY CROSS HEAD COACH PAUL GILVARY'S THOUGHTS ON MARCUS HOPPER'S BASKETBALL CHANCES:

"Marcus has a nice frame. He works hard. He knows what he has to do to become a better player. He's a good listener. He's smart and picks up things. So this is great for him in the future.

"He's very coachable, likeable. You want him to succeed because he has such a desire to be a better player. He'll get there. He'll work at making the improvements."
