Marcus Hopper, the 6-foot-9, 238-pounder from Holy Cross High School in Flushing, New York, has had a very consistent and solid year so far for Paul Gilvary's boy's basketball program in the traditionally tough New York City Catholic League. Hopper is producing 14 points and 11 rebounds so far this season.

MARCUS HOPPER'S RECRUITING INTEREST:

New Hampshire, Tulsa, Robert Morris, Holy Cross College Fairfield, Providence, UMBC, Marist, Winthrop and Siena have been monitoring Marcus' regular season.

HOLY CROSS HEAD COACH PAUL GILVARY'S THOUGHTS ON MARCUS HOPPER'S BASKETBALL CHANCES:

"Marcus has a nice frame. He works hard. He knows what he has to do to become a better player. He's a good listener. He's smart and picks up things. So this is great for him in the future.

"He's very coachable, likeable. You want him to succeed because he has such a desire to be a better player. He'll get there. He'll work at making the improvements."
