New York Guard Having Solid Prep Season

Reporter Mike Sullivan takes a look at the individual game and regular season progress of New York born backcourt prospect Danny Lawhorn, who is having a solid prep season ...

Danny Lawhorn, a 6-foot guard from New York City who competes at the Robinson School in New Jersey, continues to have a terrific season on the prep level.

Danny has been gaining confidence handling the lead guard slot for his team and is shooting the ball better from the perimeter.

Lawhorn should have a solid career as a division one backcourt player. "My jump shot is better, more consistent and I'm more confident."

Danny has also been working on his strength so he can finish near the rim more consistently against the bigger bodies inside the paint.

LAWHORN ON HIS COLLEGE COMMITMENT:

"I'm going to UMES (University of Maryland-Eastern Shore)," he said. "I'm excited about playing there next season."

DANNY LAWHORN'S SEASON AT THE ROBINSON SCHOOL:

Danny produced 18 points, contributed 12 assists and four steals to help the Robinson School defeat Rise Academy of Pennsylvania, 102-72 in a key game so far this season.

EVALUATION OF DANNY LAWHORN'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

*Lawhorn is a tough guard, willing to take the ball to the rim against the bigger bodies. He competes hard on both ends of the court. He has the New York attitude, fearless when it comes to taking the rock to the basket.

Lawhorn had previous interest from Fairfield.
