CLASS: 2011, a current senior

POSITIONS: Has played both backcourt positions on occasion, especially during the AAU season for Team Phenom out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

AAU TEAM HEAD COACH: Mr. Paul Gripper

BIG GAMES FOR JOEY GRIPPER THIS PAST SUMMER AND FALL ON THE AAU CIRCUIT:

Gripper scored 20 points, had six assists and six steals in the championship game of the Shakur Chosen League. His team, Jrue Holiday, lost 54-48, to the Shakur squad.

Previously, Joey produced 20 points, had six assists and six steals in a losing effort in the NIKE Chosen League Championship (19 and under).

Previously, Gripper scored 16 points, added 11 assists and three steals to help Team Phenom produce a 77-57 victory over Smyma Stars in the Peach State Classic in Aiken, SC (thanks to his AAU coaches for the info).

** Joey scored 15 points and had two teams to help Team Phenom blasted the Georgia Heat. Gripper followed up the solid effort wtih 22 points and eight assists in the Bigshot's Slam in South Carolina.

TOP GAMES FOR 2010-2011 REGULAR SEASON:

Joey scored 10 points, handed out five assists and had four steals to help his high school team claim a 48-42 victory over Westtown. Currently, AFS is 13-4.

Gripper is averaging 13 points per game so far this season.

Previously, Joey scored 16 points to lead his team past Shipley, 60-40. Friends is now 11-4 so far this season. Gripper also had five assists and three steals in the league victory.

Gripper also scored 16 points, grabbed five rebounds, handed out five assists and had three steals to help AFS defeat Trenton Catholic High School.

Joey also produced 20 points and handed out eight assists to help AFS knock off a very talented Life Center team, 85-75.

In addition, Gripper scored 21 points to lead his team in scoring and help AFS crush Mercersberg, 72-43.

Joey is averaging double figures in points and assists, and around five steals per contest.

RECRUITING

Hampton has offered a scholarship while Rider, Rice, and Kent State are have expressed some interest in his recruiting process.
