JOHNSON'S TOP GAMES OF LAST SUMMER ON THE AAU CIRCUIT FOR TEAM PHENOM OUT OF PHILADELPHIA, PA:

Johnson scored 10 points, added four assists and had five steals to help Team Phenom win its fifth straight game in the Peach State Summer Showcase. The team defeated Team Phoenix, 84-56, according to the coaching staff of Team Phenom.

Kenny played well throughout the summer, making contributions in several areas, including the rebounding department. His relentless competitive spirit helps him grab loose balls near the rim.

*Kenny scored seven points today in a very competitive scrimmage game against Simon Gratz High School of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Johnson has been working on his strength and perimeter game so he can be more diversified in his individual game. Abington Friends upended Simon Gratz, 57-55, in a very competitive five quarters of play.

DESCRIPTION OF HIS INDIVIDUAL GAME:

He is tough near the rim, able to score against the bigger bodies. Despite his size, he averaged over five rebounds per game this season.

AAU TEAM:

Team Phenom, a program based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, coached by Paul Gripper. "He's always been a top player for us, helping us win many games," said Coach Paul Gripper. "He is a hard worker, plays tough near the rim, much bigger than his size."

TOP GAMES FOR 2010-2011 SEASON:

Kenny recently scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds in a tough loss to Friends Central, 55-50.

Previously, Johnson produced 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help his high school team defeat Westtown, 48-42.

Kenny is currently averaging nearly 14 points a game as well as six rebounds per contest. He does a terrific job retrieving rebounds and scoring against the bigger bodies near the rim as evidence by his ability to ring up the numbers off the glass. In another key game this season, Johnson produced 25 points to help AFS upend Life Center, 85-75.
