Cardozo Senior Guard Having Terrific Season

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a detailed update on the individual game and regular season progress of Cardozo senior guard prospect Chris Gayot, who is having a fine year so far for head coach Ron Naclerio ...

Cardozo head coach Ron Naclerio keeps on winning in Bayside, Queens. And one of the reasons is senior guard prospect Chris Gayot, 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds.

"Chris has really improved in his decision making," said Naclerio, who has always employed an uptempo type of offense.

"What I really like about Chris' individual game is how he values the ball, each possession. He's doing a great job distributing it, getting the ball to the proper spots on the floor."

Gayot is averaging 11.9 points a game and 6.5 assists for a team that is 26-1 and facing two more non-league games before the playoffs start.

"He's also shooting the basketball better," added Naclerio.

Some division two schools are involved in his recruiting process as well as low division one programs. "Stony Brook and C.W. Post are showing the most interest right now," Naclerio said.
