Upstate Underclassman Having Solid Year

Reporter Mike Sullivan takes a look at the individual game and regular season progress of upstate underclassman Jerome Crumpton, who is having a terrific season for his high school team ...

Jermaine Crumpton, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound small forward/power forward from Niagara Falls High School in Niagara Falls, New York, continues to have a very good season for first-year head coach Sal Costantino.

Crumpton has shown the ability to make contributions at both ends of the floor and has done his share of scoring key points so far this season.

DESCRIPTION OF JEROME CRUMPTON'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Crumpton is a tough rebounder, plays hard on both ends of the floor, and has been improving his individual game.

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED:

He produced 10 points and helped his team on the glass in a a victory over Grand Island High School.

In addition, Crumpton scored 17 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a win over Canisius of Buffalo, New York, 77-58.

In a previous game, Jerome had seven points and six rebounds. "He took two huge charges for us at key times of the game," said Costantino.

WHAT HEAD COACH SAL COSTANTINO THINKS OF JERMAINE CRUMPTON'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

"Jerome works very hard on his individual game," said Costantino. "He does a great job on the glass and excels in transition. He's a gymrat, spends a lot of time in the gym working on his game."
