Garden State Guard Can Produce Points

Reporter Mike Sullivan takes a look at the individual game and regular season progress of senior guard Khalid Lewis, who is a player who can produces plenty of points ...

Khalid Lewis, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound combo guard from Trenton Catholic Academy in Hamilton, New Jersey (previously McCorristin Catholic H.S.), should be a very good player on the division one level.

Khalid has worked hard over the past few years to make marked improvements on both sides of the ball. He is going to be a valuable player over the next four college basketball seasons at Delaware starting next fall.

SCOUTING REPORT:

Khalid is an exciting player to watch. He's able to produce points from anywhere on the court. Over the past year and especially during this past summer, he's made strides in the categories of defense and ballhandling.

He has the skill level to be an impact player for Delaware over a four-year period. He has the skill level and grit to plow to the basket and score.

Khalid shows the ability to produce points from many points on the floor. He has the ability to take the ball to the rim and score consistently as well as drop down jumpers.

PREVIOUS RECRUITING INTEREST:

Temple, Drexel, Richmond, Virginia Tech, Fairfield, St. Joe's, Rider, Siena, and Marist.

TEAM NJABC HEAD COACH MATT PAULS' THOUGHTS ON KHALID'S INDIVIDUAL BASKETBALL GAME:

His perimeter game continues to improve. He has a great first step and can destroy the interior of a defense with his drives to the rim.
