East Coast Prospect Has Good Year

Reporter Mike Sullivan takes a look at the individual game and regular season progress of a guard prospect who is coming off a very good year for his high school basketball team ...

Dylan Moody, a 5-foot-10, 167-pound guard prospect from Abington Friends School in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, had a good year, showing progress in many areas of his individual game, according to the coaching staff at AFS.

Moody scored nearly nine points a game while playing for a very balanced offensive high school basketball attack.

DYLAN MOODY'S TOP GAMES THIS SEASON FOR AFS:

Dylan produced 11 points and handed out five assists in a terrific effort against Shipley. He helped AFS win the game. Moody, who also had no turnovers despite handling the ball quite a bit, has made some solid improvements in playing the point guard position.

Dylan also scored eight points and handed out four assists to help his high school team defeat Trenton Catholic, 59-48.

Dylan also had three rebounds and one steal. This was an average type of game for Dylan Moody this past season.

THOUGHTS ABOUT DYLAN MOODY'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Dylan is a hard worker, competes effectively on both ends of the court, utilizing speed and quickness. He uses his fast hands to get steals.

THOUGHTS ON DYLAN MOODY FROM THE COACHING STAFF AT AFS AS WELL AS HIS AAU TEAM:

"He is a very good shooter, possessing good speed. He's also a very capable defender.

"Dylan is still working on polishing his skills but he does a nice job complimenting Gripper when they play together in the backcourt.

"Dylan does a great job with on the ball defense and this allows Gripper to get his hands in the passing lane, leading to more steals."

EARLY COLLEGE INTEREST IN MOODY'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Low division one programs, some high division two programs continue to show interest in his recruiting process.
