Kenneth Coughlin, a 5-10 1/2 linebacker/tight end from Tottenville High School in Staten Island, New York, recently took an unofficial campus visit to Delaware, according to his dad.

Coughlin, a member of the 2012 class, has worked very hard to put himself in a position to land some college interest in his skill level.

Kenneth is hoping to have a great senior season for his high school football team after having a tremendous junior season.

COUGHLIN'S RECENT CAMPUS TRIP:

Coughin previously took and had a terrific unofficial visit to Pennsylvania, according to his father.

"It was an unbelievable visit," said Mr. Coughlin previously. "University of Pennsylvania is gorgeous. They are very interested, and have told him to get a 1200+ on his SAT. He really loved it and was extremely impressed. Coaching Staff was top-rate."

SPRING AND SUMMER ACTIVITY:

Coughlin is registered for the Nike combine April 23rd to be held at Baltimore Raven Stadium and will also compete at the Under Armour Combine May 1st at Raven Stadium.

RECENT RECRUITING INTEREST:

"Marshall, UConn, and South Florida are some schools involved recently," Mr. Coughlin recently said in an interview.

FUTURE PLANS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED:

According to Kenneth's dad, Coughlin is enrolled at Parisi Speed + Strength school for six months (six days a week focusing on speed, agility and strength).

In April, Kenneth will be at the combined training even at Parisi. Coughlin will also be attending the National Underclassman Combine in May and the NUC Ultimate 100 Combine in June.

Last year he made it to the U100. Kenneth was i the top five in the strength portion of it last year. He produced 29 reps at 155 pounds and ran a 40 in 4.86. He wants to get to the 4.6 to 4.7 range this year.

HONORS FOR HIS JUNIOR SEASON:

Kenneth was selected to the Staten Island Advance All Star team. In addition, Coughlin was named First Team All Staten Island and Second Team All City by the New York Post.

THIS PAST SEASON:

We previously reported that Coughlin's season had ended in a PSAL semifinal playoff loss to Fort Hamilton.

However, Coughlin was one of the main reasons why his high school team went deep into the playoffs. He produced nine tackles to help his football team score a convincing 33-6 victory in the quarterfinals.

In addition to his nine tackles in the quarterfinal playoff game, he recorded a sack and two quarterback pressures that led to two interceptions.

PREVIOUS RECRUITING INTEREST:

The 220-pounder also has some recruiting interest from Duquesne, Delaware, Wagner, Memphis, and East Carolina.

DESCRIPTION OF COUGHLIN'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Considered a multiple position player, Coughlin is also the long snapper for Tottenville. He was named to second team All City defense in 2009-2010 as a defensive tackle last season while also spending some minutes playing the defensive end and linebacker positions.
