East Coast Prospect Hoping For Big Summer

Reporter Mike Sullivan takes a detailed look at the individual game of productive scoring prospect Eric Fanning, who is coming off a terrific boy's basketball campaign in 2010-2011 ...

Eric Fanning, a very talented 6-foot-5, 200-pound productive power forward/small forward prospect from The Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, is worth watching this summer on the AAU circuit.

Fanning is coming off a terrific junior season and was promptly named to the all star game being held on Memorial Day weekend. He was selected by scout guru Alex Kline to play in the Mary Kline Memorial All Star game to be held at the Pennington School in New Jersey on May 28th.

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED:

Eric had a wonderful 2010-2011 boy's basketball producing over 24 points per contest for his boy's high school basketball team. He was solid on both ends too, grabbing nearly 11 rebounds per game.

ERIC FANNING'S TREMENDOUS GAMES THIS SEASON:

His biggest game was eye opening. He ripped off 53 points to help his team defeat Mercy Academy.

According to his AAU coach Matt Pauls of Team NJABC, Fanning also pulled down 16 rebounds in his best game of his career.

RECRUITING INTEREST:

Cornell, James Madison, Boston University, Georgia Southern, Quinnipiac, Stony Brook, Army, Citadel, St. Francis (PA), Colgate, and Drexel.

WHAT TEAM NAJABC HEAD COACH MATT PAULS PREVIOUSLY SAID ABOUT ERIC FANNING AND HIS INDIVIDUAL GAME:

"He practices hard all the time, always looking to make improvements in his game."

PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF ERIC FANNING'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Eric is a solid student too, opening up some academic options if he wishes to explore them over the next two seasons.

Eric competes very hard on both ends of the court, working hard on every possession.
