Jack Taylor, a 6-foot-11, 235-pound center who originally came from The Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, recently competed in the talent-rich Mary Kline Memorial All Star game held at the Pennington School.

Taylor scored five games in the wonderful event. "Jack's size always creates mismatches for defenders," said hoops scouting guru, Alex Kline.

"Despite his lack in athleticism, ball handling and ability to create a shot, the 6'11 prep school big man played fairly well against some talented, older players. Taylor ran the court well and was very alert on defense. He forced a few shots but ended up making two of them."

Taylor has also played for one of the country's top AAU programs in Team NJABC. One of the coaches, Matt Pauls, believes he'll make more progress this summer working on his individual game.

"He's young and still learning the game," he said previously. "He works hard so he'll improve."

Taylor has also competed in events held at Fordham too.
