Final Look: New Jersey Guard & D-1 Recruit

Reporter Mike Sullivan takes a detailed free look at the individual game and college future of division one prospect Khalid Lewis from the state of New Jersey ...

Khalid Lewis, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound combo guard from Trenton Catholic Academy in Hamilton, New Jersey (previously McCorristin Catholic H.S.), is ready to play division one college basketball.

Lewis had a fine high school career, capped off with his recent performance in the Mary Kline Memorial All Star game.

"Khalid did an excellent job of running his true position, the point," said basketball expert Alex Kline.

"Although his scoring productivity has gone down significantly over the years, Lewis has an amazing feel for the game with his high basketball IQ and ability to make the players around him better."

Kline added: "He has played against the best of the best and always shows why he will always be one of the top players in Trenton Catholic history."

Khalid, committed to Delaware, has worked hard over the past few years to make marked improvements on both sides of the ball.

Over the past two seasons, he's made improvements in the categories of defense and ballhandling.

At one time in his recruiting process, he had some interest in Fairfield and Fordham.
