Theo Davis Resurfaces at Canadian University

Theo Davis, one of the top high school recruits out of New York a number of years ago, has resurfaced at Brock University in his home Ontario, Canada.

Theo Davis, who had brief collegiate stints with Gonzaga and Binghamton, was recently added to Brock University's 2011-12 roster in time for the Badgers' final two exhibition games against traveling American NCAA Division I programs.

Against North Florida on Tuesday, Davis played 23 minutes off the bench and recorded eight points, eight rebounds and three blocks. Sunday night versus Duquesne, Davis started and had 15 points and 14 rebounds in a game-high 32 minutes.

Davis played with Rogers State University, an NAIA program in Marco Island, Fla., in 2009-10 where he averaged 7.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.4 blocks.

The Brampton, Ontario native was a top 100 recruit out of Benjamin Cardoza High School in Bayside, New York. He took a prep year at Lutheran Christian Academy in Philadelphia. Davis had shoulder surgery and missed the 2006-07 season at Gonzaga. A member of Team Canada that competed in the 2007 World University Games in Thailand, Davis had a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds in the bronze medal win over Japan.

Brock University competes in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport's (CIS) Ontario University Athletics Conference. The Badgers were 14-16 last season under then interim, now head, coach Brad Rootes.
