Underclassman Guard Prospect Worth Watching

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a detailed look at the individual game and future of an underclassman guard prospect who plays in the New York City area and is expected to have a big season ...

Cameron Heywood, a 5-foot-4 lead guard prospect from the tri-state New York City area, is a prospect to watch as he continues to mature and make improvements in his individual game.

Cameron is a member of the 2015 class, giving him ample time to become a better basketball player before heading off to college. Heywood will compete with Paramus Catholic High School of New Jersey.

From Spring Valley, New York, Cameron had a very solid summer and fall of AAU play and should land key minutes for his high school basketball team this winter.

LOOKING AT CAMERON HEYWOOD'S INDIVIDUAL BASKETBALL GAME:

Heywood is a solid three point shooter who has good leadership skills. As he matures physically, his skill level will rise as will his consistency in running the offense.

He has competed effectively in AAU competition and in the IS8 spring and fall leagues.
