Underclassman Guard Worth Watching This Year

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a free, detailed look at the individual game of a 2015 underclassman guard prospect from the New York/New Jersey area who is having a solid season ...

Cameron Heywood, a 5-foot-7 point guard prospect from the tri-state New York/New Jersey area, has had a solid season so far.

A member of the 2015 class, Cameron has more games and tournaments to make progress in before he ends up playing division one college basketball.

Heywood plays for Paramus Catholic High School of New Jersey.

From Spring Valley, New York, Heywood is a quick guard that can break a defense down with his dribble and possesses skilled hands on defense, too.

Quinnipiac has already shown early interest. It's likely as his game improves, more schools will show recruiting interest.

LOOKING AT CAMERON HEYWOOD'S INDIVIDUAL BASKETBALL GAME:

Heywood is a solid three point shooter who has good leadership skills. As he matures physically, his skill level will rise as will his consistency in running the offense.

He has competed effectively in AAU competition and in the IS8 spring and fall leagues.
