Danny Lawhorn, a 6-foot-1 lead guard prospect from New York City, is expecting to have a big summer of action and making more progress in his individual game.

"I just got invited to the top 80 Mullands camp in St. Louis," said an excited Lawhorn. "It's the best Juco camp."

Lawhorn hopes to showcase his skill level to college coaches at the event. This past season, Danny competed effectively during the 2011-2012 basketball campaign for San Jaciento JC in Texas this past year.

Lawhorn averaged 10 points and 11 assists per game, leading the nation in assists on the JUCO level.

He is a member of the class of 2013 and previously attended and played for the Robinson School in New Jersey two years ago as a post graduate student.

Danny has been gaining confidence handling the lead guard slot for his team and is shooting the ball better from the perimeter.

Lawhorn should have a solid career as a division one backcourt player. "My jump shot is better, more consistent and I'm more confident."

Danny has also been working on his strength so he can finish near the rim more consistently against the bigger bodies inside the paint.

Danny produced 18 points, contributed 12 assists and four steals to help the Robinson School defeat Rise Academy of Pennsylvania, 102-72 in a key game this season.

*Lawhorn is a tough guard, willing to take the ball to the rim against the bigger bodies. He competes hard on both ends of the court. He has the New York attitude, fearless when it comes to taking the rock to the basket.

Lawhorn has competed at many events as a high school player, including tournaments held at Fordham and in the IS8 Fall and Spring Leagues.
