Fields Sits Out Key Moments With Shoulder Problem

Levance Fields sat out of key moments during the Gauchos' win over the Illinois Warriors with a shoulder problem

For New York City Gauchos point guard Levance Fields, he had to make a decision that was the best for the team. In the third period, the 5-11 floor general came down with cramps in his arm. While the high intensity of the game required much exertion, Fields went to the bench and never returned.

"It's cramps," said Fields, who was twirling his left arm as the game was over. "I wanted to go back in but I thought I could hurt the team. So I stayed on the bench."

While on the bench Weyinmi Efejuku played many key minutes. The Brewster Academy combo guard made many clutch plays and free throws. He finished with 18 points. "He did a great job," Fields said.

While Fields was in the game, he scored eight points. All four baskets were incredible spinning drives to the basket. There were several programs in the audience to watch Fields play as well as his teammates.

Fields stated he is open in his recruiting process but has offers from schools like South Florida, St. John's, Miami, and Pittsburgh. Levance has stated he has many other schools he is interested in his recruiting process.
