6-foot-4, 180 pound swingman Zaire Taylor from Curtis High School in Staten Island has picked his future school.
A Colonial Athletic Association program picked up a verbal commitment from a darkhorse out of New York City when 6-foot-4, 180 pound swingman Zaire Taylor
from Curtis High School in Staten Island, New York pledged for the Delaware Blue Hens.
Taylor, who received feelers from South Carolina and East Carolina, will re-do his senior year of high school at Charis Prep in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Taylor, who averaged 13.7 points in helping Curtis to a 24-2 record this past season, comes with a reputation as a defensive stopper. Curtis advanced to the second round of the PSAL playoffs before they were defeated by Brooklyn's Banneker Academy, 67-58.
Zaire competed with Doc Nicelli's Madison Broncos on the AAU circuit.
Taylor will join 6-foot-9 sophomore forward Rafael Madera, another New York City native, on David Henderson's team.
