Notes: Episcopal Academy (Merion, Pa.) has risen to No. 10 in the rankings after the Churchmen continued their hot streak by defeating "On the Bubble" Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia, Pa.), 65-64, in a game that was televised on ESPN2. Episcopal senior guard and North Carolina recruit Wayne Ellington hit the game-winner on a 17-foot jumper with 2.6 seconds left. Episcopal senior swingman and Duke recruit Gerald Henderson scored a game-high 25 points.
