Four Metro Teams in Scout's Top 25

In this week's SchoolSports.com's national top 25: Bloomfield (NJ) Tech joins three other New York City metropolitan area schools -- St. Benedict's Prep and St. Anthony's of New Jersey and Christ the King H.S. -- in Scout.com's ranking.

1. Lawrence North (Indianapolis, Ind.) – (16-0) *1
Senior center Greg Oden had 23 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks and senior point guard Mike Conley had 22 points, four assists and six steals in a 76-55 win over Center Grove.

2. Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) – (29-0) *2
Junior forward Michael Beasley recorded a triple-double with 36 points, 10 boards and 10 blocks and dished out five assists, while junior guard Nolan Smith added 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists as Oak Hill defeated Providence Day School (N.C.), 116-69. The Warriors also defeated Episcopal Academy (Pa.), 64-56, as Beasley led Oak Hill with 21 points.

3. North College Hill (Cincinnati, Ohio) – (16-0) *3
Junior guard O.J. Mayo had 40 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists and junior forward Bill Walker posted 23 points and 12 boards as the Trojans defeated Woodrow Wilson (W.V.), 95-88. Mayo's point total gave him 1,850 for his career, making him the school's all-time leading scorer.

4. DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) – (20-0) *4
Senior point guard and Virginia Tech recruit Nigel Munson scored a game-high 22 points in DeMatha's 68-51 win over Bishop McNamara.

5. Westfield (Spring, Texas) – (28-0) *5
Senior guard Brandon Dison scored 23 points and senior forward Josten Crow added 18 as Westfield dispatched of Baytown Sterling, 81-37.

6. McKinley (Canton, Ohio) – (12-2) *6
The Bulldogs cruised past Bedford, 86-46.

7. Hamilton (Memphis, Tenn.) – (20-0) *7
Junior Devyon Hunter scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Wildcats to a 66-52 win over Whitehaven.

8. Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.) – (20-1) *8
J.T. Tiller scored 25 points and James Florence added 19 points to key Wheeler's 88-72 win over Milton.

9. Artesia (Lakewood, Calif.) – (21-1) *9
Junior forward James Harden scored 27 points and sophomore guard Malik Story chipped in with 19 points in Artesia's 82-41 victory over La Miranda.

10. Fairfax (Los Angeles, Calif.) – (17-2) *10
Senior forward Jerren Shipp led the Lions with 21 points in their 92-54 win over Poway.

11. Glenbrook North (Northbrook, Ill.) – (19-1) *11
Senior Jon Scheyer had 22 points and seven rebounds and senior Tyler Cullitan canned five 3-pointers en route to 17 points as the Spartans cruised past Highland Park, 64-34.

12. DeSoto (DeSoto, Texas) – (28-0) *12
Senior guard Jermaine Beal had a game-high 25 points as DeSoto crushed Arlington Lamar, 70-35.

13. Vashon (St. Louis, Mo.) – (17-1) *13
Senior Bobby Hill had 17 points, 10 rebounds and four assists and junior Leon Powell had 15 points, 15 rebounds and four assists as the Wolverines defeated Soldan, 85-45.

14. Mount St. Joseph (Baltimore, Md.) – (26-0) *14
Kevin Swecker scored a team-high 16 points as the Gaels beat Loyola, 63-49.

15. Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, Tenn.) – (22-2) *16
Brentwood picked up a big victory by defeating Ridgeway, 66-58. Senior forward Brandan Wright led Brentwood with 22 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocks.

16. St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.) – (22-1) – *18
Senior forward Lance Thomas scored 25 points to lead the Gray Bees past American Christian (Pa.), 92-71.

17. Newton North (Newton, Mass.) – (12-0) *19
Junior forward Brandon Stephens had 12 points and 10 rebounds as Newton North defeated Brookline, 50-37.

18. St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.) – (15-1) *20
Senior guard David Bullock led St. Anthony with 19 points in its 65-44 win over St. Joseph's.

19. Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.) – (13-2) *21
Senior forward Kevin Durant poured in a game-high 22 points to lead Montrose Christian to an 87-36 win over Osbourn Park.

20. Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) – (22-2) *22
Junior point guard Kamyron Brown scored a career-high 19 points as the Monarchs defeated rival Santa Margarita, 57-47.

21. Marshall (Chicago, Ill.) – (20-1) *24
Senior Patrick Beverley had 29 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals and freshman Darius Smith had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead Marshall to an 81-70 victory over Crane.

22. Christ the King (Middle Village, N.Y.) – (16-2) *15
The Royals lost to All Hallows, 61-58, but bounced back to defeat Bishop Loughlin, 75-49. Robert Hampton led Christ the King with 18 points in the win over Loughlin.

23. Dunbar (Dayton, Ohio) – (13-2) *NR
Dunbar has been rolling behind the play of senior guard Daequan Cook. Cook, who's rated the nation's No. 18 senior recruit by SchoolSports.com, scored a game-high 32 points as Dunbar defeated Trotwood-Madison, 71-64. The Wolverines' last loss came to Ridgeway (Tenn.) on Dec. 26 and Dunbar is undefeated against in-state opponents.

24. Clovis West (Fresno, Calif.) – (18-2) *NR
Clovis West hasn't loss since a 56-54 setback to Compton Centennial on Dec. 15. The Golden Eagles defeated Clovis East, 88-58, as De'Jon Jackson scored 22 points.

25. Bloomfield Tech (Bloomfield, N.J.) – (14-1) *NR
Bloomfield enters the rankings after it defeated Science, 69-54, to move to 14-1 on the season. Senior forward Desean Butler led Bloomfield with 19 points and 16 rebounds.
