Andrew Beinert Taking A Trip

Scout.com reporter Brian Towey of the High School New York/New Jersey website has the latest recruiting information regarding the status of Chaminade lead guard Andrew Beinert, who competed this past summer for the Long Island Lightning ...

Chaminade standout Andrew Beinert is currently on an official visit to Davidson, according to Chaminade assistant coach Bob Paul. Davidson head coach Bob McKillop, a Chaminade alumnus, has made the savvy combo guard one of his top recruiting priorities in the class of 2007.

Beinert has an official visit to Holy Cross lined up for next weekend.

Other schools that have shown serious interest in Beinert include Hofstra, Richmond, Penn, and St. John's. However, St. John's did land Christ The King lead guard Malik Boothe.

Beinert battled injuries this summer, but was still visible on the AAU circuit during July. He turned in a gutsy performance at the Triple "S" Harley Davidson Jamfest in West Virginia during the live period, helping lead Joe Walsh's Long Island Lightning team to the semifinals despite a nagging ankle injury.
