Landesberg, who will compete with his Holy Cross High School team in the IS8 Fall League, has been favorably described as a "smart player with terrific skills."
These aren't just the words of the Holy Cross coaching staff nor the positive feelings New York Panthers director Gary Charles had expressed to us recently. These are the words of those who would love to have him in their programs.
Landesberg has developed also a reputation as a player who scores points but within the flow of the game. He is also been mentioned as a player who can fit into any system.
Several schools have already watched Landesberg work out over the past week, including Georgia Tech head coach Paul Hewitt. His friend, Norm Roberts of St. John's, is also making a big effort to land Sylven.
Add in the competitive recruiters from Connecticut, Seton Hall, Miami, Rutgers, Louisville, Florida, Virginia, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, and Florida State, and you have a big battle over the next year for his skills.
"He's open," Charles said. "Whoever gets him will be fortunate. He is a well-schooled player that can kill you."
