Tyrone Nash Will Set Up Area Visit

Tyrone Nash, a 6-foot-7 forward from Northfield Mount Hermon in Massachusetts, will likely take a visit sometime in October to a Big East school. The original date was set for early October for a trip to Norm Roberts' St. John's program. According to sources close to Nash, Tyrone is likely to take a trip in late October to allow a better timeframe for St. John's.

Nash was originally supposed take an official visit to St. John's University on the weekend of October 5th. However, according to sources, Nash and his family need a better weekend.

Tyrone, who helped Lawrence-Woodmere Academy to the States last season, did have an in school visit with St. John's head coach Norm Roberts. Nash stated after the visit that he was impressed with Roberts.

However, there is plenty of competition for the services of Nash. Tyrone did take a trip to Notre Dame a weekend ago. He had plenty of positive words of praise for the Notre Dame program and its coaching staff.

"...I really liked meeting and talking to the players and the coaches," Nash said. "The campus is beautiful. You can see what a great atmosphere it is there. ..."

Kentucky, Northwestern, Stanford, Rutgers, and Florida are also being considered. Nash said he hopes to take a visit to Stanford too. Tyrone said he expects to make a decision in the Fall.
