New Jersey Forward Has High D-1 Interest's East Coast recruiting expert Mike Sullivan details some of the latest recruiting information on a forward from the state of New Jersey ...

Idris Hilliard, the 6-foot-7 forward from the Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey, continues to have heavy division one interest in his skills, according to his AAU coach, Galen Smith of the New Jersey Elite.

Hilliard has been impressive over the past six months. He was solid during the spring and summer AAU events for Smith's Elite program. He is a forward who can move quickly down the court and be effective along the baseline.

Before Idris played at the Showcase at the Wide World of Sports complex in Florida in late July during the coaches evaluation period, he also competed at the Reebok sponsored ABCD camp. Idris Hilliard averaged nine points and three rebounds. Coaches started to become more serious about recruiting Hilliard.

"He is supposed to visit Rutgers in a few weeks," Smith said. "St. Joe's is also being considered."

Smith said that Iowa is also expressing interest. "He could visit there too," Smith said. "No date has been set up but that might happen."

Hilliard had previously taken trips to Wake Forest and DePaul (as reported by the DePaul site). The schools previously mentioned with Idris also include Marquette and Seton Hall.
